Hard to believe I haven't posted to this blog since August! I was in a creative rut. Between the lack of free time, school starting, and a bunch of personal things going on, I hadn't been able to create anything of significance worth blogging about. I just wasn't feeling inspired by anything.
I'm committed in 2013 to making the time to doing more things I love - crafting, reading, baking.
PTI's Make It Monday challenge Repeats & Rainbows this week was just the thing to get my mojo going. I love Nichole's color challenges and the repeated image was super simple. And bonus was that I showed the video to my girls and they got to help me make some cards too! They were thrilled because they have been dying to get a chance to join me in my craft room.
Here's the first card I made using the Rainbow Color Scheme No. 3. In hindsight, I should have picked a font from Thanks All Ways that wasn't slanted.
Second card for teacher appreciation week in May uses Rainbow Scheme No. 1:
My 9 yr old Sydney helped me with this birthday card for her aunt. She chose Scheme No. 6, the balloon stamp from the Heart to Heart set, and came up with the card design and bling.
Sierra chose the same Color Scheme but opted for the Flower Fusion series for this card for her teacher's birthday tomorrow.
Sabrina will be making a card with me tonight and I'll post it tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by! Check out this challenge - its a ton of fun.
Looks like you are having as much fun as I am with this challenge. How great that you could craft with your kids. I love all the cards that you guys made.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Joyce, you MUST be having fun with this challenge! Each card is delightfully unique and equally fun and eye-catching. Great job. : )
ReplyDeleteGreat set of cards - it is fun to see how different images & dies can be used!
