PTI Make It Monday #113 Perfect Pearls

I confess that I've had Perfect Pearls in my stash for at least the past year and have never used it. I got it after seeing Jennifer McGuire use it in one of her Online Card Classes but forgot all about it after the class was over. This week's great tutorial by Nichole Heady was just the push I needed to bust out the little jar. Trouble is that I only had the pearl color of the Perfect Pearls powder! All of Nichole's sample cards used multiple colors....yikes! How could I make a card with just one color? I resisted the temptation to run out to the store to get others and made this card:

I decided to use some dark chocolate striped paper to add interest since I was only using one color of Perfect Pearls. Now I'm kicking myself for not using it sooner! I'm definitely going to get a few more colors.

It was a bit hard to capture the sheen of Perfect Pearls with my little point and shoot so hopefully you can see how great the trees came out. Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Through The Trees
Cardstock: Memory Box Brown Cardbase, PTI Dark Chocolate Striped pattern paper, PTI Rustic White
Ink: Versamark
Other: Perfect Pearls, Adirondack Espresso, PTI Stripes Impression Plate, Raffia

  1. So beautiful, and perfect for a sympathy card. I must have done the same thing--I had one small jar in the plain color--and I also resisted a trip to the store. Good for us--now we can go stamp shopping!
