His & Hers Day 1

If you are looking for a fun, jam-packed with videos and TONS of inspiration, you must check out the great classes at onlinecardclasses.com. Every time I take a class there, I get really excited about creating, I always try out new things, and love the cards I come out with. Just remember to clear as much of your schedule as possible during class week because you'll be dying to get to your craft space.

This week's class is His & Hers to help with overcome the challenge of creating masculine cards for a variety of occasions. One of the techniques featured on Day 1 was masked borders. Here are my cards using Jennifer's technique.

I don't use many 'Thinking of You' cards so I changed the feminine one into birthday card. This one uses this week's pretty colors at ColourQ.

You probably also noticed that the feminine card has a strip of paper across for the sentiment. I had originally masked a clear portion along the white cardstock for the sentiment but realized that I didn't have a pen or marker that matched any of the colors I used to make the definitive line Jennifer uses in her technique. So instead, I improvised and added a slanted piece of matching cardstock.

Hope you like them. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I am envious - I wanted to take this class, but since I have so much else going on right now, I decided against it. One day you have to tell me everything about it!
