I knew instantly what stamps I wanted to use for this week's challenge at Dynamic Duos which blends neutral colors of kraft and black with the option of wet embossing. I have been dying to use the new PTI Meadow Greens set. I really love the embossed look of the Queen Anne's Lace. Really makes for such an elegant look.
I added a few rhinestones but still learning how to place them in just the right way. I see sequins and rhinestones all over cards in blogland and they always placed perfectly. A scattered sort of look but not in a haphazard sort of way. I know it should be in a triangle and used in odd numbers. I always spend a few minutes playing around trying to get it right. I wanted to include my sentiment in the visual triangle but the lone rhinestone looked so far out in left field, literally. Any other tricks out there to place these type of embellishments?

I own this stamp too but, embarrassingly, haven't inked it up yet. Your card is something I can aspire to...the color scheme is not what I use normally but it's so effective. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I totally forgot I had this set. I want to make one just like it myself. I love your colors and your placement. I like how you did your sequins. I agree that the pros always seem to have it right. One trick I saw in someone's video was to have two together and one further away. Not sure why. Will I see you in class tomorrow?

I showed my hubby ( he sits beside me when I cruize blogs) and I showed him alot of cool cards, he disagreed, then he saw your card, and he said, "NOW WE AGREE," that is pretty spectacular...I didn't know he knew that big word (LOL)..
