My first card is for the CASology challenge this week. Cue word is SHINE. I used three different shades of blue PTI shimmer paper for the stars which I inlaid on the panel. Hard to see the shimmer of the paper but it really is gorgeous. I added a few Hero Arts Hues dots which are like shiny sea glass. Got these at LSS closing sale for really cheap last summer but never used them.
This next card is for the ColourQ challenge which pairs two shades of blue with an olive green and an orange. This color combination has a vibrant fun feel to it so I created a end of year teacher card. I tried to stay away from red and apples because teachers must be so tired of that scheme.
I stamped a row of books from Back to School and added a sentiment from Mama Elephant to act like the shelf.
And my last card uses Spring Rain again but pairs it with a whole different color palette. Personally I think of Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist as blues but some say they are in the green family. What say you? Would love to hear what color families you think those two belong in.....
Color inspiration is from the PTI Color Play palette for June and the design is inspired by the challenge at One Layer Simplicity:I've Been Framed. I used the polka dotted frame from Fillable Frame Additions 2 and stamped it in the various colors. Sentiment is in Kraft.
Well, that's all for me right now. Thanks for checking things out here and hope you have a great day!

ReplyDeleteOh, Sherrie, you've been busy creating these lovelies. Just adore the stars--the three shades of blue in that yummy shimmer paper--LOVE. And, shining star--perfect for the CASology challenge. Your row of books are just perfect for the teacher, and I'm loving how you used your frames in the last card. I have an idea that's been noodling in the back of my head sort of along those lines--only time will tell if I can get it out onto paper.
