Hello again -
Wanted to share two cards I made with the Wet Paint sets. LOVE them!
First card I stamped the Congrats sentiment in black repeatedly along the side and then stamped it again in different colors slightly offset. I think there was a PTI Make It Monday a while ago which highlighted this technique. The colors were inspired by this week's ColourQ palette.
Next card uses the Celebrate Wet Paint sentiment as part of an anniversary card (CASology:ANNIVERSARY).
I heat embossed both the sentiment and tilted bubbly champagne in gold. I added a strip pretty gold textured paper along the edge and then matted the whole thing on black card stock. Champagne glass is from Propose A Toast.
That's all for me for now. Got a busy weekend - my 10 yr old is doing a kids triathlon tomorrow morning and of course, Father's Day is on Sunday. Thanks for taking a peek!

Sherrie, first...I love the look of your blog, so nice. And your cards are just fabulous! What a great use for the same stamp, you are so clever and these are both winners in my book. I love your bright red hearts floating out of your champagne glasses. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteYour stamped congrats card is my favorite, Sherrie, love how you used the colors! Thanks for joining in the fun at the colourQ, twice!
ReplyDeleteThe gold on your anniversary is just stunning! I love everything about it! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteTwo stunning and striking cards here. Your first card is brilliant, and I am pinning it to try with my wet paint stamps. And, your second card is another fabulous and elegant anniversary card, and is making me wish I had that stamp set. Thanks so much for playing along again at CASology this week.
ReplyDeleteLOVE both of these cards! Awesome! I am a new follower. :)
ReplyDeleteSherrie these are both fantastic, love the double stamping and the gold embossing! Thank you so much for sharing with us at both CASology and the colourQ!
ReplyDeleteI live both the cards but the anniversary is very special.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use those colours on the top card and your anniversary card is so special with the strip of shiny gold on the side.

I pinned the first one - definitely casing that! And I love both your anniversary cards - maybe the straight one is before the champagne and this tipsy one is after a glass or two? lol! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are fantastic!! I'm a bit fan too of the 'painted' look and love the way you offset the colours in your first card and stamped the rest of your sentiment within them...fantastic idea! The gold card you used in your second card is gorgeous and the little hearts in the glass look fabulous. Well done and have signed up to follow your blog.
