Colour Me....Striking! #33

Happy Wednesday! Time for a new Colour Me....! challenge. This week brings us two striking colors - blue and orange.

These colors happen to be my daughter's favorite colors so I made these two cards with her in mind. The second card is pretty generic so I can use it anytime.

For this first card, I wanted to create a split panel with two kinds of paper separated by the Happy die cut inlaid on an angle. I embossed the birthday sentiment in white.

Second card features the opposite - blue inlaid die cut into an orange panel. Instead of using two types of paper, I stamped the bottom half of the panel with the 'Everything' sentiment in versa mark and one in black to make it stand out.

I like them both, maybe the blue one better. Which one do you like?

Come join me at Colour Me this week.  The Colour Me....! team has made some beautiful cards for your inspiration this week so head on over their blogs and check them out.

Can't wait to see you what you create in the gallery! Thanks for taking time to stop by.

  1. Your cards are great, Sherrie! I love the inlaid sentiment! I have never done that, but want to give it a try! I think I like the blue one best, but I know your daughter will love both of them! XX

  7. I love both of these cards Sherrie! I think maybe the blue one has the edge, although I'm nor sure why - love the way you used the inlaid die cut to bring two different pieces of co-ordinating paper together, genius!
