On The Runway

One of my favorite challenges is the Runway Inspiration Challenge. Love the dresses the DT selected and the cards they made.

Here's the inspiration from Betsy -

Love the contrast of the blue and white and how the bottom of the card changes background. On the top its a dark blue background with white flowers and toward the bottom its white with blue flowers but the transition happens in short of a diagonal asymmetrical way. So here's my take -

I used Sentiment Splits curved dies to create two panels - a larger Enchanted Evening on the top and white on the bottom. For the top panel I embossed medallions from Giga Guidelines in white. I stamped all the medallions on the panel in Versamark first before adding the embossing powder so it was hard to keep track of which designs were next to what. Just noticed that I have two of the same medallion right next to each other! UGH. That's what happens when you are working so fast.

For the small bottom panel, I stamped in Enchanted Evening. Panels are propped up with foam tape and the curved sentiment stamped in the split.

Second card to share is for Betsy's Mix and Match challenge. I used three different American Crafts patterned papers with the Tipped Top dies and stamped the sentiment on a Keep It Simple frame.

Haven't yet had a chance to check out everyone's creations from yesterday but will do soon. Thanks for taking a peek and hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  1. Love your beautiful card! Great use of Maile's Sentiment Splits Die for asymmetry!
