Happy Tuesday crafty friends! Its time for a new CASology cue word - TEAR. My favorite part about the CASology challenge is that there are usually a few ways to interpret the cur word and that's all part of the fun!
I chose to use this definition of TEAR:
noun: tear; plural noun: tears
1.a hole or split in something caused by it having been pulled apart forcefully.
synonyms: rip, hole, split, slash, slit; snag
"a tear in her dress"
To create my Thank You card I made a circular tear in a paper towel and used it as a mask. Saw this technique done online a while ago and been wanting to try for a while.

I used an ink blending tool on the paper towel mask with PTI Bright Buttercup ink to create a rough background for the sentiment from PTI Choose Joy.
I added a stitched embossed border around the white card front and of course a few yellow enamel dots.
Take a look at all of the TEAR inspirations by the design teams - so many different CAS interpretations!

This is such a cool technique, and I love the look on your card. What a fantastic way to highlight a sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI love your brilliant take on the cue word, Sherrie! That technique looks so cool - love the result!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!
ReplyDeleteThe "torn" spot really fooled me! I thought it was a torn piece of paper on top of the card base! Well done~!
ReplyDeleteWow...this is so beautiful! I love that gorgeous yellow.
