CASology # 219 SPOOKY

Hello craft friends. Its October which means Halloween is right around the corner. To get us in the mood, we have a fun CASology cue word this week:

I don't really make Halloween cards so I didn't have appropriate stamps in my stash for this challenge. So what did I do? I created my card using Halloween themed scrapbook paper from Echo Park. It was a monochromatic green piece with cool spider webs and a few hanging spiders. Definitely more cute than spooky but I have friends who are deathly afraid of spiders who would disagree with the word cute!

I cut out a portion using my wacky stitched border die. I took the Happy Halloween from another piece of paper from the same collection and added it between the falling spiders.

Patterned paper for cards could definitely be CAS if colors are kept to a minimum and very little embellishments are used.

  1. Just perfect ! How clever it is to use your pattern paper to make the whole card ! I'm scared with spiders but I can definitely say that those ones are really cute ! Thanks for sharing.
