I went a bit off the grid with this challenge as I was brainstorming PRICKLY. In the world of exchanging cards, I find that growing older is a bit of a PRICKLY subject. I find as friends get older, they don't want to make a big deal of their birthday. Aging is a bit of a PRICKLY subject, the higher their age is. Many don't even want to celebrate so I made a card that I could send to someone...not to make a big deal, just acknowledging their birthday in a small way.
For my card, I die cut a bunch of numbers in various colors inspired by this week's MFT color challenge. I just got several variety packs of MFT cardstock and I'm in love with the vibrant colors and thickness. Sentiment is from PTI Offbeat Birthday which I embossed in white.
What does PRICKLY mean to you?? Check out what the rest of the DT was inspired to create....

Thanks for popping in! Have a great week.
Oh, so perfect, Sherrie! :) Love your thinking! This is the perfect card for discreet birthday wishes! ;) I've always loved that particular sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI love your take on this cue word and the CAS deign is just perfect-I am going to take your lead on the 'age' issue as I have a friend about to hit 50!!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the challenge. Very interesting. I love the large numbers spilling down the page. Your perspective on aging is a new concept to me, but is spot on for most of us as the numbers increase!! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteLove your tumbling tower of numbers. And, I agree that age and birthdays can be a very prickly topic.
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on prickly!
