Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

Its Blog Hop Day at Papertrey Ink and I'm so happy to be a part of it again. From the moment I saw all these yummy, gorgeous colors with the theme "Fruits of Summer", I challenged myself to make a card using all six fabulous color combos and to go a step further and pair them up with unexpected stamps as Nichole said. For me this meant, no flowers (not that I have many flowers in my stamp stash anyway!).

Here's what I came up with:

I got my July PTI order so quickly this month so I was excited to use the new Wishes Come True set for my niece's upcoming 21st birthday. I stamped a single candle and the sentiment on the inside. Love the gold shimmer of the candles too. I was inspired to include her monumental '21' on the face of the card by the CAS-ual Friday blog challenge this week.

Next card is another birthday card I needed for my uncle this weekend so I used the most masculine of all the color combinations:

Ok, so its not blatantly masculine but I think it works because its fun and bright. I used the Wishes Come True stamp set again because something about the row of colorful candles makes me happy.

The inspiration photo for this color scheme was so yummy looking that I had to pair it with a frosty treat. I used glittery stickles to add sparkle to the ice cream cones.

This color combination was very varied like a rainbow so I thought it was perfect for the overlapping triangles I've been wanting to create. I raised the stamped panel with foam dots to add interest but keep it clean and simple.

I had to use Round Repeats for one of these combinations. That set just begs for a bright array of colors!

And last but not least, a simple birthday card with the medallion from Round Repeats -

Thanks so much for stopping by! I had fun making these cards and hope you enjoyed taking a look. Check out the rest of the creations inspired by these amazing colors HERE. See you around on the Hop!

ETA: I'm also entering these birthday cards into the Moxie Fab Birthday Card Challenge and the triangle Thanks card into the Moxie Fab Trendy Triangles Challenge.
