Colour Me.....Subtle! #47

Happy Wednesday which means its time for a new Colour Me.....Subtle! challenge  and this week we are using the fun combination of Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze. Of course, you are welcome to create anything with these colors and add in neutrals such as black, gray, white, kraft, and vanilla.

These colors are perfect for this time of the year that I was inspired to make two projects using PTI Leaf Prints.

First is a card where I stamped some falling leaves from Leaf Prints on Rustic Cream card stock which was first embossed with Lil' Inkers stitched border. I used Distress Inks in Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs as well as VersaMagic Gingerbread ink.

Sentiment is from Keep It Simple series.

Second project are the place settings I made for Thanksgiving dinner next week.

I used the same ink colors as in my card and stamped random leaves on a die cut shaped card (can't remember the name of this classic shape!). I inked around the edges in Memento Rich Cocoa.

I die cut a leaf in vellum,  wrote my sister in law's name in brown pen and attached it loosely over the top of the scattered leaves. I pushed back the edges of the leaf a bit so it wouldn't lay completely flat against the placecard.

One placecard down, 10 more to go! :)

I hope you will play along at Colour Me this week. The Colour Me...! team has made some fabulous cards for your inspiration this week so head on over their blogs and check them out.

And our lovely featured designer for November...!

Looking forward to what you come up with in the gallery! Thanks for taking time to visit. Have a great week!

  1. Love your CAS card and co-ordinating place cards Sherrie - the brown colour palette works so well for falling Autumn leaves.
