February 2015 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

It's the 25th and that means it the Papertrey Blog Hop today! I'm sure there will be TONS of fabulous  creations out there. Here's the inspiration photo:

Such a pretty photo of a collection of items. However, I found it tough to create something inspired by it. Not sure why. Perhaps its because the colors of green and pink remind me of my bedroom when I was a teenager. Perhaps it is because all these objects clustered together told me to create something heavily layered which is completely out of my wheelhouse. Perhaps all the different shapes and textures really threw me and my clean and simple self for a loop.

My first card was a HOT MESS. It was almost a literal interpretation of the photo and probably will go down in my personal history as the worst card I made ever. LOL. Seriously.

A few days later, I came up with this second card -

I stamped an image from Meadow Greens on Spring Moss card stock and cut it in half using stitched rectangles dies. I die cut a piece of Sweet Blush with a larger stitched rectangle die but kept it intact and layered the two. Sentiment from Keep It Simple series.

Can't wait to see what everyone made! I know there will be a lot of "Wow, why didn't I think of that?" moments. Thanks for popping in!
