Colour Me.....Monochromatic! #32

It's hard to believe that it's been a month since I joined the Colour Me design team. Time flies when you are having fun!

This week's monochromatic challenge features a pale green pistachio color. I don't use this color much in my crafting anymore so it was a bit of a challenge for me for sure!

I used the new Shakers and Sprinkles kit to create a heart shaped shaker. Its my first attempt at shakers but the dies and foam adhesive make it relatively easy. I used some pretty gingham patterned paper for the top of the heart and cardstock for the banners and die cut word to complete the sentiment. The pretty sequins came with the kit and I'm using all the embellishments sparingly as I fear of running out!

I stamped a background of a simple Happy Birthday sentiment in black so the pretty shaker and banners would stand out.

I hope you will join me at Colour Me this week. The Colour Me team has made some beautiful cards for your inspiration this week so head on over their blogs and check them out.

Can't wait to see you what you create in the gallery! Thanks for taking time to stop by.

  4. Fabulous card. I like how you made your own background and split the sentiment. And, of course, I love the shaker--always love the shaker and that heart is so striking in green.

  5. Love your shaker card Sherrie - the shaker looks fantastic against the stamped background and the Sprinkles sentiment is to 'die' for!
